Have you ever used Mom’s rocking chair
to sail the skies without a care?
I do that all the time, you know.
Just rock real hard, and away you go!

Sometimes, I visit distant lands –
purple mountains and sparkling sands –
or fly my spaceship to the stars
to visit Jupiter and Mars.

I’ll soar above the sea so blue,
nod nicely at a gull or two,
befriend a heron on the shore,
and marvel at the ocean’s roar.

But when I grow too tired to roam,
I close my eyes and rock back home.
And when I see my mother’s face,
I know that home’s my favorite place!
