So many moments to love in this life,
so many unrecognized pleasures.
Whenever the world puts a lock on your hope,
break it open and set free the treasures……

A glimpse of the morning sun filtered through trees,
framed in blue by a cornflower sky.
The touch of a salty breeze misting your cheek
as the scent of the sea passes by.

The song of a neighborhood greeting the day…
chirping birds, chirping children, street sounds.
A low-hanging moon as the slow-setting sun
meets the stars, and sweet silence abounds.

The rustle of leaves and a brook as it speaks,
rushing over each smooth, solid stone.
The quiet beneath nature’s music, the stillness,
the knowing you’re never alone.

For though we are burdened and saddened at times,
God surrounds us in gifts, great and small.
Our hearts and our senses stand waiting to show us
His love, freely given to all.

Hope abides – in sunshine and rainfall.
