I am stuck
in the middle
of in between.
My eyes are not blue
but they’re not really green.
If you’re short, I look tall.
If you’re tall, I look short.
I am neither the best nor
the worst at my sport.
I’m much more than a baby,
much less than a teen…
Smack dab
in the middle
of in between.

Growing up isn’t always easy, but it beats the alternative!
