Of all the treasures in the earth
and underneath the sea,
no prize is valued more than this,
nor held more gratefully:

that friend who gets behind your eyes
and sees what you can see.

Is there anything in this world more valuable than being known and understood by someone you care for?…someone who cares for you in return? If there is, I have yet to experience it. Finding those friendships that nurture and sustain us is one of the most precious blessings life has to offer, and expressing our gratitude for them is more than appropriate. In fact, it might even be mandatory! 😉
