when you feel like there’s no winning
find yourself a new beginning
keep on

when you really know you ought to
but you feel like you don’t want to
keep on

when you tell yourself hope ever
but you wind up hoping never
keep on

when your heart is saying go, go
but your answer’s always no, no
keep on

when self-pity fills your gut
kick your spirit in the butt
and keep on
