Are we not all beggars
before our risen Lord?
In death, all things are lost to us,
save those He hath restored.

His love and grace lend healing balm
to soothe the weeping soul.
Through His atoning sacrifice
is every man made whole.

Our Savior came into this world
all blessings to impart.
What will we offer in return
if not a humble heart?

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”
Psalms 51:17

“And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit.”
3 Nephi 9:20
