Remember Christ

Each life refines a heart divine.
Our spirit gifts abound.
As God’s own children, we belong
where light and love are found.

Sin has no hold upon our hearts
unless we give it space,
and sorrow turns to gladness as
we move from grief to grace.
When troubles call, when shadows fall;
sometimes, we doubt our worth.
The Spirit whispers gently to
remind us of our birth:

We came from beauty all around,
from peace and lovingkindness.
God’s plan of joy meant risk and growth.
Let soft stirrings remind us
how eagerly we came to earth,
determined to stand true.
The Savior made that possible.
By His grace, we are new.

Remember, O remember Christ.
He tells us who we are.
His lamp, bright beacon to the soul,
will be our morning star.

Helaman 5:9 – O remember, remember, my sons, the words which King Benjamin spake unto his people; yea, remember that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, who shall come; yea, remember that He cometh to redeem the world.

Mosiah 2:41 – And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
