Hope Note to Self

Hope was not meant to lock in
the result that we hope for.
Hope is simply a force to ease
burdens and light our way through.

When the chips are all down, the end game
is not something we vote for.
It’s the thing we accept because
Someone knows more than we do.

So hope on, hope ever. Infuse
every cell with good feeling.
Fill up every drop of your lifeblood
with positive vibes.

Just consider, when stuff hits the fan
and it sets your soul reeling,
that there’s one road to healing:
remembering why you’re alive.

And there’s One, only God,
Who knows best what each soul
needs to thrive.

Let Him drive.
