When I was a child, I spake as a child;
I saw as a child would see.
When I was a child, I conquered the world,
secure on my father’s knee.

When I was a child, my mother’s eyes
held all of the answers true,
but now I am grown and must choose on my own…
I have learned what the Savior would do.

I know of His love that keeps me warm, and
comforts me through the night.
I know that He lived and died for me –
the Way and the Truth and the Light.

I know that I have a mission here;
and if I will humbly pray,
although I am grown, I will not be alone.
He will walk by my side every day.
