Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love lives on
in heart and mind.
Love leans humble,
is not proud.
Love extends
beyond the cloud.
True love honors
and awaits.
Love shows mercy
at the gates…
keeps no records,
finds the light,
holds up truth
against the night…
hopes and trusts,
and never fails.
Love is faithful.
Love prevails.

I woke up early this morning and ran across the image displayed above. It resonated deeply and made me smile. I send love up to my son every day, with open hands and heart. The words that came into my mind were from 1st Corinthians, but they arrived in the form of this little poem.
It is good to remember that love never dies. Even better is remembering that our loved ones never die either. And what a blessing that is.
