Don’t mess with me
Don’t crowd my space
You’re in my way
You’re in my face
I won’t be you
I can’t be me
I’m moving out
I’m breaking free
Have some respect
This is no stage
You’re not in charge
I’m legal age
Don’t preach at me
I’ll just say no
My life is calling
Gotta go

Although the young person thinks rebellion is an act of independence, it actually never is. It is really an act of dependency. – Carl E. Pickhardt, PhD.
