Stand as a witness, a witness of God,
for the world has lost sight of His glory.
The truth must go forward. The battle’s engaged.
Stand with Him; let your life tell His story.

The good things you do lift a banner of hope
to the heart that is cold and alone.
God’s love is a fortress, and you are the mortar
that builds it for Him, stone by stone.

The calling is yours. Will you raise up a tower?
Shine a torch for your comrades to see?
Or will safety and shelter be lost to the crowd
because you were not where you should be?

Do you love high places?…Can you sound a warning?
Will you stand your watch in the night?
Or will you succumb to the lure of the one
who loves darkness and curses the light?

Lead all of the weary and wounded back home;
never lie down or languish in sin.
The enemy’s strong, and his army’s at hand.
Bar the gates; let no conqueror in.

Take courage; step up and be counted as His.
Claim the vict’ry and march to the fore.
You were born to the armor of God;
fly His colors of goodness and right evermore.
