Each child of God wears dignity,
a heritage he brings to earth.
No ragged coat, however soiled,
diminishes intrinsic worth.

The humble understand this truth;
the proud look down and put on greed.
They care not for the hungry soul;
they cannot fill the aching need.

Be wary of the hollow ones,
the empty people walking free.
In choosing not to give love,
they surrender their humanity.
